What EstateBase Provides

EstateBase is an estate planning organization tool that helps you catalog and organize information about your financial accounts, debts, documents, digital assets, and other important information. You can share this information with trusted family members or contacts.

EstateBase is an organizational tool only. We do not provide legal, financial, tax, or estate planning advice. The information you store in EstateBase is for your personal organizational purposes. You should consult with qualified professionals for legal and financial advice.

No Guarantees

While we strive to provide a reliable service, we do not guarantee that EstateBase will be available at all times or that it will meet your specific needs. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Your Responsibilities

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with others. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication for additional security.

Accurate Information

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into EstateBase. We do not verify the information you provide.

Sharing Decisions

You are solely responsible for deciding what information to share with others through EstateBase and with whom. Consider carefully before granting access to your estate information.

Backup Your Data

While we take precautions to protect your data, we recommend periodically exporting your data as a backup. You can do this from Settings > Data & Privacy.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use EstateBase for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms. Prohibited activities include:

Illegal Activity

Using the service to store information about illegal assets or to facilitate any illegal activity.

Unauthorized Access

Attempting to access other users' accounts or data without authorization, or attempting to circumvent our security measures.

Harmful Content

Uploading or transmitting viruses, malware, or any code designed to interfere with the service.

Abuse

Using the service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair EstateBase or interfere with other users' access.

Limitation of Liability

No Warranty

EstateBase is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Damages

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EstateBase and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.

Maximum Liability

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of EstateBase shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Your Responsibility

You acknowledge that the information stored in EstateBase is sensitive and that you use the service at your own risk. We recommend keeping copies of important information in multiple secure locations.

Intellectual Property

Our Property

EstateBase, including its design, features, and content (excluding user data), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our service without permission.

Your Data

You retain ownership of all information and content you enter into EstateBase. By using our service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

Termination

By You

You may delete your account at any time from Settings > Data & Privacy. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our servers.

By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited activities, or if required by law. We will attempt to notify you before termination when possible.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use EstateBase ceases immediately. We recommend exporting your data before deleting your account, as deleted data cannot be recovered.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of EstateBase after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of EstateBase shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
